In Civilization VI: Gathering Storm, the second expansion for Civilization VI, the world around you is more alive than ever before. The choices you make in the game will affect the world’s ecosystem and can have an impact on the future of the planet. When settling cities, consider the flood risk in coastal lowland areas, but remember that in the endgame you can use new technologies like flood barriers to protect these areas.

WORLD CONGRESS
Make your voice heard among other world leaders. Earn diplomatic favor through alliances, influence city-states, participate in World Games and more. Use diplomatic favor to get pledges from other leaders, vote on resolutions, call a special session to deal with an emergency, and increase the weight of your votes in your quest to achieve the new diplomatic victory.

21st CENTURY TECHNOLOGIES & CIVICS
A new era has been added to the Technology and Civics trees. Combat new environmental effects with speculative ideas like moving your population to ocean cities and developing technologies to capture carbon dioxide emissions.

NEW LEADERS AND CIVILIZATIONS
Nine new leaders from eight new civilizations have been introduced. Each of them brings unique benefits and gameplay, as well as a total of nine unique units, four unique buildings, three unique improvements, two unique districts and one unique governor.

NYE SCENARIER

Your task is to lead your nation through the disaster: keep your people alive, your economy strong and your faith undisturbed amidst a world of terror and desperation. The war machine: At the start of World War 1, the German Imperial Army had a bold plan: invade neutral Belgium and then quickly take the French heartland before they could mobilize to resist. If successful, the German forces would capture Paris within a month and end the resistance for good. In response, the French command prepared Plan 17, an all-out attack designed to meet and stop the German offensive. Once war was declared, both armies set to work, establishing one of the most incredible and shocking military campaigns in world history. In this multiplayer scenario, players choose to take the side of one of these two great powers at this critical time. As Germany, your task is to conquer Paris. As France, your task is to prevent its conquest. Time is running out and the enemy is coming. Onward!
